NAHA/ANHA is a
membership driven, non-profit organization that
advocates for urban and other non-reserve Aboriginal
housing in Canada.
Membership is
open to all Aboriginal individuals and organizations
that administer and/or deliver housing programs,
transition homes, shelters, seniors’ residences and
homelessness programs to and for Aboriginal persons
across Canada.
Associate Membership
is extended to other individuals and organizations, both
Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal, who subscribe to and
support the efforts of NAHA to attain decent, affordable
housing for Aboriginal peoples in Canada. Associate
Members do not hold voting rights at Business Meetings
but are otherwise entitled to all benefits and services
that may be provided to those with full membership.

The Association is dedicated to access to adequate
and affordable housing by Aboriginal families and
individuals, is established by Aboriginal housing
corporations, is administered by Aboriginal people
and has a fifteen year history of success.

sustain the economy, housing sector stimulation
provides a double-barrelled impact. Aboriginal
housing organizations need to ready for these
opportunities.

jurisdiction of Provinces/Territories it remains
important to have a strong national voice to
advocate for and protect the interests of Aboriginal
housing corporations.

stories of success among Aboriginal home providers.

national housing policy forums on current and
evolving issues and opportunities in Aboriginal
