NAHA/ANHA is a membership driven, non-profit organization that advocates for urban and other non-reserve Aboriginal housing in Canada.

Membership is open to all Aboriginal individuals and organizations that administer and/or deliver housing programs, transition homes, shelters, seniors’ residences and homelessness programs to and for Aboriginal persons across Canada.

Associate Membership is extended to other individuals and organizations, both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal, who subscribe to and support the efforts of NAHA to attain decent, affordable housing for Aboriginal peoples in Canada.  Associate Members do not hold voting rights at Business Meetings but are otherwise entitled to all benefits and services that may be provided to those with full membership.

  • WHY? To assist in the development of a strong national Aboriginal plan to support a greener and environmentally conscious Canada an avenue to energy conservation and efficiency.

  • WHY? To contribute to, and to endorse a 10 year national Aboriginal housing strategy

  • WHY? To access national housing programs such as Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program, assisted home ownership programs and programs that continue to be offered by the federal governments.
