Housing Policy for Housing for
People Living with HIV/AIDS
A disproportionate number of
Aboriginal persons are now
living with HIV/AIDS (APHAs).
It is generally acknowledged
that safe, decent and affordable
housing is a factor in improved
health, and APHAs are among the
most in need.
Accordingly, Healing Our Spirit
(HOS), in Vancouver, has worked
with a large number of other
organizations to develop the
attached Housing Policy, and
welcome First Nations, Métis
and Inuit housing organizations
to review the model policy, and
to consider implementing it.
